Chiropractor Doctor | Our Education
Chiropractic Doctors go through an extensive amount of education. Starting with an undergraduate degree and then into 4 years of the profession studies. Within the 4 years of training to be a doctor of Chiropractic, 2 of those years are of basic sciences, which are required to pass the boards. The other 2 years of the Chiropractic studies include the clinical sciences part, which is also required by the National Boards. The third part of the National Boards of Chiropractic training is imperative if the specific Chiropractor plans to use physiological therapeutics within the practice. The last part in order to become a Chiropractor Doctor is focused on diagnostic imaging, case management, and chiropractic techniques training. There are also post graduate residency programs available where Chiropractor Doctors have the ability to work towards the goal of gaining board certification. These pro-graduate programs are also offered by various sites throughout the US.
Post Graduate Requirement for Chiropractor Doctors
The course work for chiropractic doctors includes 300+ hours, with a minimum of 5 years in practice, followed by successful completion of a written and oral examination.
Knowing where the pain is half the battle. We are an X-ray based chiropractor, because we want to locate the pain to know what type of injury, or pinched nerve, or what exactly we are dealing with so that we can accurately check. We help those who are in pain, or who are looking for a preventative form of medicine. Our goal is to make sure that we always strive to corrective care first and then preventative care. We want to add health into your lifestyle which is why we practice corrective care first, and then embody preventative care second.
